This is, indeed, a big development in the realm of Australia where the concerned government has finally approved the biggest rise in premiums of health fund in four years. What will be the effect then? It has been found, from the next month, that more than $150 a year to the cost of standard family cover will be added. Who has been the key personality in this context? Well, it is Nicola Roxon, Minister for Health and Ageing and representative of the Australian Labor Party. It has already been declared by her that she gave approval to a “modest” average 6.02 per cent boost to premiums, up from 4.94 per cent last year.
