It has been learnt that the United Auto Worker employees of Ford have formally approved and invested with legal authority changes to their retiree health-benefits package to save costs at the troubled automaker. Is this a new development? Well pertinent deliberations were already in the air for sometime and the deal was endorsed in the present day by 59 percent of UAW production workers and 58 percent of skilled-trade workers. It is to be noted that it was approved last month by union leaders and Ford management.
