Be conscious of available health measures
Have these quotations first.
“Being ignorant is not so much a shame, as being unwilling to learn.” - Benjamin Franklin
“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I’m not sure about the universe” -
Albert Einstein.
You may wonder of the necessity to bring in these quotations at the very outset. Well, there is a reason. It is found at several times that people remain unaware of the developments in the neighborhood and go on committing the same mistakes. Haven’t you found any such person ever? Surely you have.
I have also found a new band of ignorant persons and they, unfortunately, happen to be Michiganders. Don’t take this as a personal assault against this wonderful midwestern state in north central United States in the Great Lakes region. But recently large numbers of unemployed Michiganders were witnessed to join up the queue of longtime uninsured at Cobo Hall for free services at one of the area’s largest health expos.
Was it uncalled for? Surely! They were ignorant of the fact that a new help had already been made available to pay for temporary insurance. The situation has been explained finely by Cheryl Korpela. Cheryl Korpela is the president of Advomas, a Medicaid assistance firm based in Troy, and said, “What I hear most is, oh, COBRA, I don’t want to know about that; it’s way too expensive.”
As indicated by her, the bulk of the people are still unaware that the new federal law (already introduced) will pay 65% of the cost for COBRA, or temporary health insurance, for people who have lost jobs since September 1. What’s more, it doesn’t matter if they declined the coverage at the start. This should also be kept in mind that Federal COBRA help for nine months is available to anyone who loses a job between September 1, 2008 and December 31, 2009.
