Is it simply a philosophical study of moral values and rules or is it regarding principles of right and wrong that are accepted by an individual or a social group? What is the influence of respective culture and custom on it then? The question is quite difficult and there is no straight answer to this yet from the philosophers. What is the impact of a worsening economy on this therefore? This is also an intriguing question and there is no straight answer to this again.

But it has to be accepted that at times declension in economy becomes decisive factor and smashes the ethical standard of the State or a society or even an individual. It was in the 1930s, during the Great Depression, when owing to worldwide economic depression, mass unemployment and extreme poverty lots of women became sex objects and thus became sources of entertainment either through strip shows, cabaret or adult entertainments.

Now, after several decades, it seems that the same ethos has returned on account of a new acute economic crisis (leading to layoffs, decrease in salaries) and US adult entertainment industry has rejuvenated once again. As stated by him, makers of adult films cautioned that women shouldn’t rush into the decision to make adult movies without considering the effect on their lives. On the word of him, “Once you decide to be an adult actress, it impacts your relationship with everyone.” “Once you make an adult film, it never goes away.”

But this has failed to dissuade women. They are joining the industry fast.
