Is Ram Gopal Verma or RGV – Bollywood-famed director and controversy becoming synonymous? It seems so although it’s not known yet whether this is an emphatic creation of RGV himself. But it must be stated that the current and raging controversy may get more complicated bit by bit. After all, he has toyed with the national anthem and this is no trifling crime. The controversial song depicts the Indian National Anthem in his recently launched song promo of Rann, the lyrics ‘Jana Gana Mana Rann’ and has not only infuriated the censors but the political class as well. Nevertheless Ram Gopal Verma is still upbeat and fighting a lone (losing?) battle.

It has been learnt that Oracle, the organization widely acclaimed for specializing in developing and marketing enterprise software products, has acquired Virtual Iron Software, which makes virtualization management software, for an undisclosed sum. It is to be noted that the information has been issued by Oracle itself. In this context, the company said in a statement (Techmeme), it will combine Virtual Iron’s technology and Oracle virtual machines to “provide more comprehensive and dynamic resource management across the full software stack.”

PIAB, the celebrated global leader in the realm of vacuum technology, has been feeling the need to gratify the growing demand for innovative product handling and conveying technology and in order to do that, it is going to open the18th subsidiary in Chennai, India. What will be the main objective of this new subsidiary? It has been learnt that PIAB Vacuum Technology Pte Ltd, new subsidiary, will be engaged in supporting distribution networks and provide training and technical support for distributors and customers. The operations at the new office will commence in June officially.

This is, indeed, a noble gesture on the part of Los Angeles City Council and it is likely that the initiative would lead to a good increase in the hourly wage under the L.A. living-wage ordinance for about 5,000 low-income employees. Well, all these optimistic concepts are coming to the fore owing to the recent approach of the same Los Angeles City Council. The Council has launched an effort to provide health insurance for about 5,000 low-income workers at Los Angeles International Airport through improving the hourly wage required under the city’s “living-wage” ordinance.

The swine flu has already made the US administration kowtow before it and its extending influence has become visible through the declaration of a public health emergency in the same country. Well, this is not any new experience to the Americans since it is much like the government does to prepare for approaching hurricanes. According to the heath officials, 20 cases of swine flu in the realm of the United States of America have come to the fore so far, with the latest in Ohio and New York. It is likely that the number may increase with the passing of each day. Nevertheless the impact of the same swine flu in the US has been mild and health officials are groping in darkness to find out the apposite reason behind this.
