Can there be any relation between socks and technology? Well, this may seem to be strange to you but, as per experts, there is indeed and this also exceeds other sectors. Take for instance Karen Deniz of Optimer Performance Fibers. As stated by Deniz, new technology appears first in socks frequently. Reason? There is the need of a moderately small investment by manufacturers and consumers. Well, Deniz is not alone. Even a Fox River representative explains that “it’s all to keep feet dry.” What is more he states that socks keep feel warm or cool, and provide more or less cushioning in particular areas thanks to the precise application of technology.

Asia is no longer out of the reach of swine flu and Japan has become susceptible to its assault. As per the latest information, the number of swine flu cases in Japan is rising gradually and this may make the World Health Organization (WHO) raise its pandemic alert level to 6, the highest level. The dominance of swine flu in the West, especially in the United States of America has been dreadful, and the first death in New York State occurred when the assistant principal of a school in Queens died after being hospitalized with swine flu on Sunday. It is to be noted that it was the sixth flu-related death in the United States. Taking cue from these developments, pertinent authorities in Japan became instrumental in closing more than 1,000 schools and kindergartens in and near the cities of Kobe and Osaka.
