More reports of afflictions are coming to the fore owing to persistent conquests of swine flu. It has been learnt that the death toll in the sphere of United States of America has risen to three and on the other hand Costa Rica has witnessed its first fatality. What is the condition of other countries? The situation is indeed appalling and health officials of these countries have confirmed new cases of people on account of the virus.

One of these counties is surely Japan and its health officials have reported four confirmed cases so far. What led to the introduction of this disease in this country? Many are posing this question since it is far-off from the epicenter of swine flu. Well, it emanated from overseas flights. In the meantime Australia reported its first case but said the victim had recovered and is no longer infectious. Norway also reported its first confirmed case. China is not out of the reach of disease as well and reported its first suspected case on the mainland, involving a Chinese man returning from studying at a U.S. university. There is no doubt in it that the reports are coming to the fore owing to the relentless effort of health officials who are busy in tracking the spread of swine flu.

It is to be noted, on the last Sunday World Health Organization stated that 49 people have died. While the majority of them (amounting to 45) are from Mexico, two in the U.S. and one each in Canada and Costa Rica. As stated by WHO, there have been reports of 4,379 cases throughout the world and thousands of other cases may be on the horizon. Take for instance USA. Its Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said the number of confirmed cases of the infection in the U.S. had risen to 2,532 in 44 states.
