It’s true that the relation of China and Taiwan has never been good and this situation has been persisting from the latter’s establishment in 1949 by Chiang Kai-shek after the conquest of mainland China by the Communists led by Mao Zedong. Can India continue with the NSG waiver?

India is quite worried these days and it is not without reason. The country is concerned with regard to the G8 declaration that states categorically the need “to curb transfer of enrichment and reprocessing (ENR) technology.” As per the consideration of India, this single clause is competent enough to subvert the “clean” waiver it has obtained from the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG). The country, hence, plans to take this up during US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s visit later this month.
