In spite of mounting and strengthened sibling rivalry (between Ambani bothers), Reliance Communications (RCom) is unabated and is attaining new successes. The company has formed a partnership with U.S. based Kodiak Networks for undertaking nationwide commercial roll-out of mobile conferencing service. It has been learnt that R Com will launch the mobile conferencing service on a nationwide basis across both its CDMA and GSM networks.

Is India a seat of ancient civilizations and noble cultures only? The question is asked since the majority of people, across the globe, recognize the country in this way. But this is certainly erroneous and speaks of a narrow mind set as well. The only reason behind this argument is India has also been one of the most important centers of science and technology and this tradition has been going on from time immemorial; Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is truly the worthy successor of those illustrious ancestors.

Is India becoming hapless to the (ever-increasing) onslaughts of swine flu? It seems so if the panic-stricken versions of Indian governments along with the health sectors are taken into account. Well, there are also enough reasons to get nervous. The death toll, owing to swine flu, is increasing daily in India, the most vulnerable being Pune in the state of Maharashtra.

Thanks to the gallant initiative of the existing Union Government, India will soon witness launching of a National Information Highway Authority (NIHA). What will be its cardinal activities? The main aim of NIHA, as has been found, will be to increase various e-activities of the government and these e-activities include e-governance, e-learning and e-health. It will be headed by Sam Pitroda, known for his sharp acumen in this field.
