Low cost airline Virgin America Airlines, which agreed to snap its links with U.K. entrepreneur and owner of Virgin group Richard Branson to gain regulatory approval to operate in the U.S., started selling its tickets for the first flights Thursday.

WASHINGTON - The United States said that it would have to relax the passport rules for people from the country flying to Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda because there was a huge backlog in the number of passport applications being filled up.

Segway Inc. has introduced revamped versions of its electric self-balancing scooter Monday, with several novel features, including a facility for the drivers to lean in the direction of where they want to go rather than using the handlebar and a wireless device to start the vehicle by remote control and to receive alerts when disturbed by aliens.

SAN FRANCISCO - Apple Computers is now looking at US in-car entertainment as its next prey after it revealed that it has signed agreements with Ford Motor Company, General Motors and Mazda, which sees cars manufactured by these companies providing seamless iPod integration . The three companies account for nearly 70 percent of the car produced in United States.

A new luxury cruise liner making its first sailing rolled heavily after it left the port Tuesday, causing injuries to dozens of its passengers, as they were violently flung across decks and stairways. Two of the injured are serious, according to information provided by U.S. Coast Guard.
