Liz Hurley chooses Valentine's Day to tie the knot with Arun Nayar
Even cupid might have something new to look forward to next Valentine's, as former Estee Lauder model and British actress, Liz Hurley, has disclosed her wedding plans with Indian-born millionaire lover, Arun Nayar for next year on February 14, i.e. Valentine 's Day.
To wed in the Indian state of Rajasthan, the much-talked about duo came out in the open with their marriage plans, following a breakthrough in Nayar's divorce proceedings with Italian ex-wife, Valentina Pedroni. Pedroni was involved in a legal dispute with Nayar over divorce for almost ten years now. She is believed to have thrown in the towel this summer, saying that she was finishing off with her marriage with Nayar because of 'mental cruelty'.
Legal wrangles between Nayar and his ex-wife disallowed Hurley to wed Nayar on her 40th birthday this year in June.
Better known as actor Hugh Grant's girlfriend, the sensational Hurley candidly expressed relief at Nayar's divorce with Pedroni and revealed her wedding plans saying, “We want to marry in February, possibly on Valentine's Day.” She added that their two-year courtship hadn't been easy as they had wanted to wed since a long time.
Nevertheless, Hurley dismissed all rumours of Hugh Grant donning the role of the best man at their wedding, he will surely be sent a wedding invite. Hurley instead named Sir Elton John's partner, David Furnish as a strong possibility for the role.
Liz Hurley broke up with Hugh Grant in May 2000, after which she went around with Steve Bing, the multimillionaire American film producer and had a child with him, Damian, who is three years old now.
The stunning model turned actress divulged details of her wedding to guests present at the awards function in the Savoy Hotel, London, also saying, “Every time I go to Mumbai, I get a dreadful bacterial disease and end up on a drip. That's the last thing I need on my honeymoon.”
Meanwhile, Hurley seemed elated at Arun being a wonderful stepfather and remarked, “He's delightful. Arun's like a dad closer to Damian than his own dad.”
