Veoh announces Veoh TV in beta

One of the leading names in Internet television, Veoh said that its new online video service, Veoh TV is currently in its beta stage and promised that the service will be better than the one offered by Joost.

Veoh TV can be used as a video browser and DVR by users managing online content. Dmitry Shapiro, the CEO of Veoh Networks revealed that Veoh TV was formed after taking into consideration all the feedback received by users of Veoh.com.

"We asked Veoh.com users what they really want in their online video experience and Veoh TV is the culmination of that feedback. We believe that it will be the dominant standard for online video consumption moving forward", Shapiro said.

Shapiro added that the service is entirely different from Joost since it includes open Internet standards and users can find videos created by a number of sources. Users can find videos from various sources such as CBS or can find videos listed by aggregators such as YouTube.

Users can also find videos listed by specific sources by searching for channels, such as CBS or NBC, or they can enter keywords to find specific videos.
