In an era of electronic gadgets, where latest models flood the market on a daily basis, Apple has come up with a sleek and beautiful iPod model. Although, Apple is not new to iPods this model has swept every one of their feet for its sheer excellence.

The new iPod is light and thin. You could watch television shows instantly. The video quality is also very good and sharp. The new iPod has two models, the 60GB and the 30GB. They cost $399 and $299 respectively. What has taken many by surprise is the price of the iPod. Previously too, Apple had come with an iPod by the name iPod photo. It was a 60GB model. But the iPod photo was priced at a whopping $599. That proved to be quite expensive. Not only is the new model a good $200 less, but it also comes with some attractive features. The basic accessories which come with the new model include an installation CD, head phones and an USB sync cable. There is also a guide featuring as to how one should go about the whole process. The present model comes without a charger and remote control.

More Info
The height and width of the new model are quite similar to iPod photo. The present model has a 2.5 inch screen and a resolution of 320 x 240 pixel resolution. The new model now sports a smaller scroll wheel. The music menu now consists of audio books and video podcasts. The video settings menu helps you to perform multiple functions like turning the widescreen on and off, to enable or disable TV output and to navigate between different formats. The LCD is quite large and helps you to have up to three timers on the screen. The battery life has also vastly increased. One can watch up to two hours of video on the new 30GB model as against three hours for the new 60GB model. You can also avail the audio facility for a good 20 hours on the new 60GB model. The iTunes store of Apple is now offering a selected collection of music videos numbering 2000. The list also includes a few television shows. These are priced at $1.99 apiece. Surely, Apple has come up with a gadget that is people friendly and a great source of entertainment.
