Channel 4 denies Goody coaching
LONDON - Channel 4 has said that it has not talked to Jade Goody about the racial comments made by her on the reality show Big Brother, even as speculation mounts about a possible coaching session done by the channel authorities to defuse the impact of racism storm started by Goody on the show.
Goody, who was evicted from the show following racial comments made by her on Indian actress Shilpa Shetty, admitted to making the comments adding that she was "shocked and disgusted" by her behavior. However she added that in no way was she a racist.
Speaking in an interview with top-selling tabloid News of the World, Goody said, "It was the beginning of my career and it's the end of my career. I'm not a racist, but I accept I made racist comments. She (Shetty) was a victim of bullying and racism, yes. It's my own fault for not knowing enough about other people's cultures."
Clarifying that there was no behind the scene coaching given to Goody, a Channel 4 spokeswoman said, "Jade's diary room conversations that were broadcast represent the conversations between Big Brother and Jade".
Meanwhile Channel 4 has called for a board meeting on Monday to decide whether or not to continue the show. The Commission for Equality and Human Rights chairman Trevor Phillips has said that after the meeting, the board should come out and say that Channel 4 chairman Luke Johnson was wrong in the way he had handled the situation.
"Johnson was wrong not to talk about it last week that his executives were wrong to say that there was no racism involved. If the board does not take that stand then I think [Culture Secretary] Tessa Jowell has to step in and ask if this is a board that is capable of holding a public asset in trust for us. I think it is that serious", he added.
Meanwhile speculation is rife that after Goody, the next contestant to fall prey to the racial uproar will be 23 year-old Dannielle Loyd who along with Jo O'Meara was heard making fun of Shetty on the show.

1. When Daneielle said after Jade’s big row with Shilpa “your mom would be proud of you” why did she not say no she wouldn’t if she believed she was not really that sort of person.
2. also if Jade did not really in her heart did not want her 2 mates to take her side or be on her side and hang with her she would not of said “my mom be throwing things at the TV when she sees Ian chatting and laughing with Shilpa”
My View on BB
Hello, I think now that Jade has gone out the BB I think the show is back to normal, it was like being at the Zoo and being trapped in a Lion cage.
I am glad to see that Jade is sorry for what she has done BUT I do feel she still has not got the POINT - she said we all take the piss out each others accents in the house BUT the POINT is that you can when you are good mates with someone or you have not had misunderstanding or arguments with that person then you know if you are ok terms that person will not get offended.
We all know it is wrong or we are looking for trouble if we start to the mock someone who we did not get on along with.
The only time you get away taking the piss when you know that person laughs with you not at you.
Jade was taking the piss out of Shilpa behind her back so she did not say everything to her face as she always claims that she does. When Shilpa said something about her accent when Jade said WHALE she said it her face, but for someone reason Shilpa thought she was laughing with her not at her.
Also I wanted to say Jade said she is not racist because Jermaine is black and she likes him, (for one he is famous and she love to be his friend so she can get something out of him) but racist people do eat and drink from some color people and even get on with them BUT don’t mean they like them all. A lot of racist people eat curry or even have a joke with the some color people I see it all the time.
Yes we should forgive Jade but she needs to grovel and show all bullying that goes on out there IS NOT RIGHT and that we all should get help if we are like that and it is wrong enjoying seeing someone suffer.
There are a lot of people still out there who think Jade has done nothing wrong and that is just a normal attitude so from that point we can see why there is so much road rage and neighbors from hell about.
We should bring to highlight that having friends like Jo + Danielle is also just as bad they make the ring leader feel secure and back the ring leader and comfort them and say words of encouragement, when Danielle said to Jade YOUR MOM WILL BE WELL PROUD OF YOU after she had the BIG argument, I think on that note that just shows what mentality they have.
Jo is really moody and was very sad when Jade went as you can see she believes in Jade 100%.
I don’t know how Shilpa is so forgiving and treats everyday like a new day and just gets on with it, we all can learn from her that we should not let bulling bring us down or have revenge as I know if I was in her shoes I would of.
If the problem started with Shlipa being controlling why did they not sit her down and say look Shilpa we don’t like you do this or that and then just taken it from there, also than complaining at the things she does wrong why not get up and say look don’t do this or that than just gossiping about it. When Shilpa threw the stew down the loo why not stop her before she done it than sitting back just watching her to slip up so they can talk behind her back, than complaining about the chicken being cooked or not why not just get up and take some control themselves.
Jack has no personality he just a bloke who has no balls or views that is why Jade likes him as she get to bully him and get her on way.
WHY DO ALL WHITE PEOPLE SAY WHEN ACCUSED OF RACIST REMARKS………………………………
Some of my friends who are racist and I here them make the remarks and I pull them up about it they always say there have a lot of black or Indian friends and even they mom’s are dating a colored person or they have half mix races sister and brothers, BUT from what I hear them say is very racist and unpleasant so I don’t think having mix race relatives of friends JUSTIFY wheat comes out the mouth, why should they be allowed to get away it, and they do only because they know of some color people.
Cleo seems to stay on both sides BUT she still takes Jade side as she tell them what Shilpa say but not the other way round only good things about Jade to Shilpa when she knows that is not true, yes she is nice but she still is two face.
Apart form the Jo + Danielle + Jack there is no one who tried to stop this no one had the balls and what is sad that is how our society is, we all try to keep out and as long we all just glad its not us its happening to and the only time we get involved when we TRULY like the person who is getting hurt then we might get involved so you can see that none of them really like Shilpa just not bothered enough to make a change.
For some reason Jade believes that is ok if you are up front and say something to your face, but what she is missing the MANNER you say it in and if you are getting a laugh out of it and showing that person up in front of other which happens on a daily basis at school.
I have learnt from this to stop my friends making racist remarks and laughing when they bully someone when I am out drinking with them.
