Court beckons Jacko again, this time to deliver justice!
SANTA BARBARA, California - Four months after a dramatic acquittal, Michael Jackson could enter the courtroom again, this time as a juror.
The pop icon has received a summons for jury duty at his Neverland Valley Ranch. Jackson was acquitted of child molestation charges after a four and half week trail. However, it has emerged that Jacko has left his California ranch and has no plans to return to the United States ever again. And it is equally unlikely that Jackson will turn up for jury selection, "He is permanently living outside of the United States," said Thomas Mesereau, his attorney at the child molestation trial told reporters. "Our jury services supervisor spoke with Jackson's attorney a couple of days ago and he notified her that Mr. Jackson was in Bahrain and that he would be changing his permanent address to somewhere other than the ranch. All he has to do is show he has legal residency somewhere else and he'll be exempted," said Gary Blair, Court spokesman.
Ever since he was quitted, Jackson has been residing in the Persian Gulf nation of Bahrain as a guest of Bahrain's crown prince, Sheikh Salman ibn Hamed Khalifa, and Mesereau said that the arrangement was going to be permanent. "He's living permanently in Bahrain. He has friends there who have been very loyal and helpful to him in a difficult period of his life. He's looking much better. He's with his children, and he's moving on in life," Mesereau commented when pressed to elaborate. However he declined to comment if Jackson was planning to sell his Neverland Ranch.
