Aniston's homeless intruder gets new residence, jail, for a year
LOS ANGELES - Friends' star Jennifer Aniston can now relax as a judge has sentenced the homeless man who broke into her house to one year in jail. David Hesterbey, a 49-year-old homeless man broke into Aniston's Malibu home in August.
He managed to scale a fence before being confronted by the staff at Aniston's rented mansion. Hesterbey pleaded no contest in the court on Tuesday and consequently, Van Nuys Superior Court Judge Karen Nudell ruled that the jail would be his home for the next 12 months.
Hesterbey was also put on probation for the next five years and ordered to keep away from Aniston for the next ten. In September, Aniston had secured a restraining order preventing Hesterbey from coming to within 100 yards of her home for the duration of three years.On August 25, Hesterbey allegedly rode in a taxi to Jen's home.
He also did not pay the taxi the $250 fare, which he had raked up for the journey. He entered her home through an unlocked door and told the staff that he was looking for the actress, "Jennifer Aniston told me to come here," Hesterbey is alleged to have said. Upon encountering another employee, He fled from the spot and rushed towards the beaches. Police were summoned and they found the man aimlessly wandering around in the sands near the house. They promptly arrested him.
Aniston, who recently divorced actor Brad Pitt, was in Chicago at the time of the incident. She was shooting for the film, The Break Up with Vince Vaughn. She is currently on a promotional tour for her forthcoming movie Derailed with Clive Owen. The movie is set for a November 11 release.
