Police clueless about Rapper Trice's shooters

Rapper Obie Trice, who has many hit albums to his credit, was shot at on New Year's Eve, while driving in Detroit. Rapper Obie Trice, who has many hit albums to his credit, was shot at on New Year's Eve, while driving in Detroit.

Theincident happened when the 28 year old rapper was driving on the Lodge Freeway in Michigan.

Trice's car window was shot at from a vehicle that was coming from behind at around 1.10 am. However, Trice, who was driving the car, pulled off the freeway before he stopped. His girlfriend who was with him in the car, but remained uninjured, called police.

He was then taken to a hospital but was soon released. The details about his injury have not yet been revealed though it has been known that a bullet gazed past his head.

Police are clueless about who did it and have no idea about any suspects as yet. However the Michigan State police are calling on any witness to identify the shooters.

'We`re hoping that someone who saw what happened can provide us with information,' Sgt. Mario Gonzalez of the Michigan State Police said.


Meanwhile Delios Askew, Trice's grandmother, told Detroit News that, “He's doing fine. He's pretty much back to his normal self.'

Trice is mainly known for his friendship with Eminem under whose label, Shady Records, he signed and released his debut album called 'Cheers' in 2003.
