Kids and perhaps adults have another reason to visit McDonald's restaurants. Not only are they going to enjoy their food but they are also going to get some wholesome entertainment, well sort of. Nintendo has reached an agreement with Wayport to offer free internet access to all Nintendo DS game users.

This wonderful facility would be available at nearly all the 6,000 McDonalds restaurants spread across United States. Wayport is a big name which provides Wi-Fi internet access at all the public places. The coming together of two big giants is indeed great news for all the game lovers. Wayport would be handling all the Wi-Fi networks for Nintendo.

This so far unique arrangement would come into effect from November 14 in the United States and November 25 in Europe. The connections are simple to use. People nowadays prefer something that's quite simple and if its free that's an added attraction. So the people in general would have free access to all the online games in the restaurants.

It is a great arrangement and marketing coup since millions of people would come together to play games online. This is a big move for Nintendo since plenty of people would be using the online games and the restaurants would become hot hubs for game users. It is quite easy to launch a game in Nintendo Wi-Fi connection mode. All that a user needs is a Wi-Fi enabled game and a Nintendo DS unit. The deal between Nintendo and McDonalds is going to boost the sales of the latter. Children and youngsters would come in hordes.

Tony Hawks American SK8land and Mario Kart DS are the two games which would be first using the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection. Other games too are on the way. The other games which would soon be incorporated are Metroid Prime Hunters and Animal crossing: Wild World.

McDonalds with its mega presence over the globe could hit upon a winning strategy. It has 30,000 franchisees all over the globe. A whopping 50 million people eat at the fast food chains every day. If the McDonald Nintendo arrangement were to be incorporated at all the fast food chains across the globe, increased profits of the fast food major would or could be mind blowing. Well, nothing is impossible.
